Abstract

Determines successful approaches to implementing utility IT systems. Considers flexibility to deal with technology changes and upgrades, issues of separate utility and enterprise wide approaches, the potential role of the Internet and e-commerce in utilities, the need for and identification of existing standards, and in-house and outsourcing/partnership approaches. Also includes a robust self-assessment survey to initially assess practices and periodically monitor progress. Includes a CD-ROM. Published in 2004.
