Abstract

Conducts research to determine if there are corrosion control and metal release performance advantages between zinc orthophosphate (ZOP) and non-ZOP corrosion inhibitor formulations under realistic distribution system and domestic plumbing conditions. Focuses on a mix of metals typically used in water utilities that can impact compliance with the Lead and Copper Rule (i.e., leaded brass, lead-tin solder, copper, and lead). Published in 2011.
