Characterizing the Interactions Between Pathogens and Biofilms in Distribution Systems

Abstract

This project focused on bacterial pathogens that can persist, and potentially grow, in aquatic biofilms. The research described how bacterial pathogens form biofilms and interact with pre-existing environmental biofilms, and ultimately, how processes contribute to the persistence and dissemination of pathogens. Published in 2015.
