Abstract

Conducts one of the first validations of USEPA's proposed toolbox for meeting the Long-Term 2 Enhanced Surface Water Treatment Rule, which was designed to provide utilities with options for Cryptosporidium control and removal/inactivation based on raw water occurrence. Uses the City of Richmond (Va.) as a case study to validate, estimate costs for, and optimize the toolbox. Tailored Collaboration partner: City of Richmond (Va.) Dept of Public Utilities. The 2003 toolbox was updated in 2007 by project #4068.
