Abstract

Studies the influence of ammonia release from chloramine decay on the growth of ammonia oxidizing bacteria. Evaluates treatment methods for their ability to reduce the frequency of nitrification in distribution systems. Also develops a model that can simulate the water quality effects associated with chloramine decay and nitrification. Published in 2003.
