Abstract
Evaluates whether biofilm process fundamentals and kinetics largely developed for wastewater treatment can be applied to the design and operation of biofilm processes for drinking water treatment. Optimizes the filtration performance of biologically active filters. Also evaluates possible negative impacts of biological treatment on effluent quality and assesses the impact of biological processes on taste and odor reduction. Published in 1998.
