Research Impact

Develops methods to isolate and characterize the polar (nonhumic) fraction of natural organic matter (NOM) from different source waters and points of treatment. Also studies the reaction of the polar fraction of NOM with disinfectants to evaluate the type and yield of disinfection by-products produced. Published in 2002.
