Abstract

Evaluates new screening technologies with conventional tissue culture methods to monitor for the presence of enteric viruses in groundwater. Also includes surrogate indicators such as total coliforms, fecal coliforms, coliphage, E. coli, Clostridium spp., etc. Determines which microbial indicators are best for monitoring enteric viruses. Research partner: USEPA. Published in 2002.
