Water and Electric Utility Integrated Planning
Abstract
The project provides guidance on how water and electric utilities may engage in integrated planning and the associated costs and benefits. The final report provides tools, knowledge, and recommendations to advance opportunities for water and electric utility collaboration in strategic and project-level integrated planning. Ten case studies from utilities in the United States, Canada, and Australia, all of which are pursuing varying degrees of Water Electric Utility Integrated Planning (WEUIP), are posted below under Case Studies. Materials from a planning workshop held in October 2014 are available under Project Resources/Presentations. A summary document form the planning workshop is also posted below under Project Papers.
Research partners: AWWA and NYSERDA. Published in 2017.
