2021 Paul L. Busch Award Presentation and Lecture

Webcast

We celebrated the 2021 Winner of the Paul L. Busch Award, Dr. Z. Jason Ren of Princeton University. Dr. Ren presented his proposed research, which articulates an actionable approach to modernize wastewater treatment toward decarbonization and digitalization. There is a critical need for the water and wastewater sectors to develop greenhouse gas (GHG) emission monitoring and mitigation programs, considering the sector’s commitment to energy efficiency and GHG emission reductions. Dr. Ren plans to leverage state-of-the-art sensing technologies and machine learning tools to advance science and directly benefit the water treatment community by developing user-friendly web apps.
