Abstract

Evaluates whether isotope measurements of surface water and dissolved constituents in surface water can be used as tracers of non-point source pollution. Reports on use of oxygen-18 as a water tracer and use of carbon-14, carbon-13, and deuterium as tracers of dissolved inorganic carbon. Research partner: Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
