Abstract

Water Resource Recovery Facilities (WRRFs) with anaerobic digesters can increase their production of biogas for energy recovery through co-digestion of organic waste, such as food waste, with wastewater solids. This two-day workshop brought together practitioners of co-digestion of food waste with wastewater solids to advance the science in this area. Workshop findings were compiled into a final report covering best practices, research gaps, process enhancements, and more. The final report is available on the werf.org website.

WRF is a co-funder of this workshop. Research Partner: WE&RF.
