This project will develop alternative sustainable business cases for wastewater resource recovery facilities to co-digest food waste (including fats, oils, and grease; food manufacturing residuals; and food scraps) with biosolids. These business cases will focus on environmental risk management and return on investment. The research team will also identify current drivers of these business models, and develop solution strategies for any impediments to adoption.
