Strategic Research Initiatives

The Foundation’s Strategic Research Initiatives tackle the most critical drinking water issues facing water suppliers today:

Climate change
Distribution system water quality
Endocrine disrupting compounds (EDCs) and pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs)

Effective January 2011, the Strategic Research Initiatives Program has been replaced by the Focus Area Program. Projects funded under the program in January 2011 will be procured through comptetive Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
