Research Partnerships
The Water Research Foundation partners with qualified organizations on research to leverage subscribers' resources, broadly develop and disseminate information, and foster a spirit of cooperation rather than competition. We partner with national and international organizations that share common interests and the desire to jointly sponsor projects of mutual benefit. Partnerships projects are undertaken in a manner that ensures research integrity and produces tangible benefits to our primary audiences.
We partner with organizations on efforts ranging from a single study to formalized multi-year cooperative agreements with organizations such as the USEPA and state water associations. Our commitment to expanding partnerships required the development of a set of criteria for partners to ensure compatibility and mutual benefit.
The Foundation provides co-funding for partner-developed research ideas through the Emerging Opportunities Program. Partners may submit a screening-level proposal for co-funding consideration in accordance with the Foundation’s Emerging Opportunities Program Partnership Proposal Guidelines.
