This project produced a state of the science summary on chromium-6 occurrence, sources, analytical methods, treatment options, health effects, as well as the status of state and federal drinking water regulations. The project also conducted a thorough assessment of analytical methods for chromium-6, evaluating sample preservation, potential interference, and propagation of errors. Lastly, the project analyzed samples from a few water utilities to determine occurrence patterns of chromium-6 through the source, treatment plant, and distribution system. Published in 2013.
